Kelly Graduated as the top ranked student from Texas Tech University, Magna Cum Laude and was the Recipient of the 1987-1988 American Institute of Architects School Gold Medal, awarded annually to the most outstanding graduate. After moving to Florida in 1988, Kelly passed the Architectural Registration Examination in one sitting and received his license in 1990. Kelly has worked for a number of prestigeous firms in the South Florida community, and has been practicing on his own since 1993. A talented designer, Mr. Yates has received many awards, including Gold Coast Builders Associations Prism Awards and the Treasure Coast Builders Association Medallion Award. Chris Tyson
Construction Management and Business Development
Chris brings in-depth construction expertise, enthusiasm, and unflappable determination - all with a smile. Chris is also director of marketing and doesn't rest until each phase of a project is completed to our client's and our own satisfaction.
Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Mr. Tyson has great local knowledge and its key players. Chris has an Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting and Construction Management, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Northwood University.
Chris recently joined yates Architecture and oversees Construction and Business Development. Chris has been directly involved in the architectural design and construction management of a wide range of venues, including single familiy housing units, health care facilities, commercial structures, restaurants, equestrian facilities, hotels and custom residences throughout the United States and overseas.
David Mahoney

Mr. Mahoney has over 10 years of experience in architectural design, project management, construction document production, three dimensional modeling & CADD Design. Mr. Mahoney has been involved with many types of design & construction projects including renovations, remodeling, new construction, commercial, and custom residential. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Florida Atlantic University.
Jim Mobley
Project Manager
Jim develops effective design strategies and generates architectural packages. Jim brings enthusiasm and skillful design to Yates Associates production. Jim has over 14 years of experience in architectural design, project management, project specifications, construction document production and CADD design. Project experience has invloved renovations, remodeling and new construction of numerous public, private, educational, medical, governmental and commercial facilities.
